MemoryPieces Privacy Policy

Introduction

MemoryPieces is a mobile app from Cold Harbor Studio LLC (“Cold Harbor Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how MemoryPieces handles information when you use the app.

MemoryPieces is designed as a personal photo puzzle app. You can create puzzles from photos you choose, use included starter puzzles, save puzzle progress, continue later, and optionally remove ads with a one-time purchase.

• MemoryPieces does not require your name, email address, phone number, or other contact information to use the app.
• MemoryPieces does not upload your personal photos to Cold Harbor Studio servers.

• The only third-party SDK included in MemoryPieces is Google AdMob, which is used to show ads to users who have not purchased Ad-Free Unlock.

Information We Collect

Photos You Choose

MemoryPieces may ask for access to your photo library so you can choose a photo and turn it into a puzzle.

Photos you choose are used to create and display puzzles inside the app. MemoryPieces does not require access to your entire photo library. On supported versions of iOS, you may choose to grant access only to selected photos.

Photos you choose are processed on your device. We do not upload your personal photos to Cold Harbor Studio servers.

Puzzle Progress and App Settings

MemoryPieces may store information locally on your device, such as:

• saved puzzle progress
• puzzle settings
• selected difficulty
• puzzle type
• crop information
• rotation preference
• completion status
• gameplay preferences
• Ad-Free unlock status

This information is used to let you continue puzzles later and personalize the app experience.

Starter Puzzles

MemoryPieces includes starter puzzle images that can be used without choosing a personal photo. Using starter puzzles does not require photo library access.

Purchases

MemoryPieces offers an optional one-time purchase called Ad-Free Unlock. This purchase removes ads forever.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may provide purchase status information so the app can unlock purchased features and restore purchases.

Advertising

MemoryPieces may show ads to users who have not purchased Ad-Free Unlock.

MemoryPieces uses Google AdMob to serve ads. Google and its partners may collect or receive certain information from your device to provide, measure, and improve ads. This may include information such as device identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, app activity related to ads, approximate location derived from your IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.

If you purchase Ad-Free Unlock, MemoryPieces is designed not to show ads in the app.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create puzzles from photos you choose
• save and restore puzzle progress
• remember app settings
• provide included starter puzzles
• process and restore Ad-Free Unlock purchases
• show ads to free users
• prevent ads from showing to Ad-Free users
• maintain app functionality
• respond to support requests, if you contact us

What We Do Not Do

MemoryPieces does not:

• require an account
• require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app
• upload your personal photos to Cold Harbor Studio servers
• use a separate analytics SDK
• use a separate crash reporting SDK
• sell your personal photos
• sell your saved puzzle progress
• provide social networking features
• allow other users to view your puzzles
• use your personal photos for advertising
• use your personal photos for AI training

Third-Party Services

MemoryPieces uses the following third-party services:

Apple App Store / StoreKit

Apple processes in-app purchases and purchase restoration for Ad-Free Unlock. Apple’s handling of payment and purchase information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Google AdMob

Google AdMob is used to show ads to free users. Google may collect information from your device as described in Google’s privacy policies and Google Mobile Ads SDK disclosures.

Cold Harbor Studio does not control Google’s data collection or processing practices.

Photo Library Permission

Photo library access is optional. You can use included starter puzzles without granting photo access.

If you grant photo access, you can later change or revoke that permission in your device settings:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → MemoryPieces

If photo access is revoked, creating new puzzles from personal photos may no longer work. Starter puzzles may still be available.

Your Choices

You can:

• choose whether to grant photo library access
• use starter puzzles without selecting personal photos
• delete saved puzzles from within the app
• delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data
• purchase Ad-Free Unlock to remove ads
• restore purchases through the app
• manage ad personalization and privacy settings through Apple or your device settings, where available

Data Retention

MemoryPieces stores puzzle progress, selected images, thumbnails, and settings locally on your device for as long as needed to provide app functionality.

You can delete saved puzzles in the app, if supported. You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data associated with MemoryPieces.

Information handled by Apple or Google is retained according to their own policies.

Children’s Privacy

MemoryPieces is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The app does not require an account and does not ask users to provide their name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

International Users

Cold Harbor Studio is based in the United States. If you use MemoryPieces from outside the United States, information handled by Apple, Google, or their service providers may be processed in the United States or other countries according to their policies.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by MemoryPieces. However, no app, device, or electronic storage method is completely secure.

Because MemoryPieces primarily stores puzzle data locally on your device, your device security settings also help protect your information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.

Continued use of MemoryPieces after the policy is updated means you accept the revised policy.
